This is a page dedicated to keeping you updated about the latest flood information.
10th March 2026
Waiting room, clinical rooms, dispensary and other areas are starting to take shape.
2nd March 2026
Due to the fact we have lost so much clinical space and for longer than originally expected we have had 2 porta cabins placed in the carpark of the Raglan surgery.
This will allow us to continue to provide as many face to face appointments as possible instead of having to revert to telephone calls for some clinics (due to a lack of space). You will continue to be told at the point of booking where your appointment is.
27th February 2026
As you can see, a lot of progress has been made, there is however still more to do.
We are expecting the final bits of preparation to be completed by the end of next week ready for a new floor and for the walls to go up.
7th January 2026
A reminder to everyone that we have a temporary dispensary set up at the back of the surgery in Monmouth. From here you are able to order medication, collect paper prescriptions and collect dispensed medication (if you are one of our dispensing patients). Opening hours are between 9am and 6pm, but we are closed between 1 and 2 for lunch.
Please note though that we are unable to accommodate dispensing patients wanting to change their location between Monmouth and Raglan due to staffing, you need to stick to your allocated location please.
Please do not go to Monnow Vale to collect prescriptions, unless a clinician has agreed this with you.
Thank you all for your kind words and support during this extremely difficult time!
23rd December 2025
The Dispensary in MONMOUTH is Now OPEN!
Please follow our signs and keep up to date via Facebook and our website.
Any prescriptions previously collected from Monmouth will be back in Monmouth from today 23-12-25, unless discussions with a team member suggesting anything different.
Please leave a minimum of 48 hours for medication collections from our dispensary from the time of ordering (not including weekends or bank holidays).
Paper Prescriptions as above (48 hours) to generate plus whatever timescale your usual Pharmacy requires.
Lastly THANK YOU, to all our patients, colleagues, carers, delivery drivers and everyone in-between for your kindness over this time.
9th December 2025
The long process of getting back into the practice begins. The building is being prepared for the drying out phase taking us to early January. We can then start rebuilding the ground floor. We will soon be able to dispense from the practice in Monmouth using a temporary shelter and hatch at the back of the building and will let you know when this is ready. We are unlikely to be back in the surgery until Spring/Summer. Please continue to be kind to the team as we adapt to the new ways of working and find ways to look after our patients with as little disruption as possible.
21st November 2025
We are set up in Monnow Vale and ready to take your calls from Monday. The clean-up of the practice has begun. We will share more info over the coming weeks about medication pick up etc. Thank you to the staff at Monnow Vale for being so welcoming and helpful.
17th November 2025
We’ve got lots to do but we’re getting there.
We are in the process of setting up a temporary base in Monmouth. We will also be working on getting the surgery up and running.
We are asking that for now you continue to only get in touch for urgent medical care, we have got support from the health board for urgent requests.
If you have appointments booked we will be in touch with any changes including possible changes to the location of your appointment. Please keep an eye out for a text or call from us.
Thank you

Medication/Prescription update:
The Pharmacy Team within CGMP will aim to give regular updates with information regarding prescription orders /collections and requests over the coming days/weeks so please share and /or advise others as appropriate.
Although CGMP Monmouth is closed currently, collections for dispensed medications will be available from our Raglan site in the interim. If you have already placed an order and would normally be collecting tomorrow, please leave us a message on 01600 713353 so we can ensure your medication wasn’t damaged during this period of adverse weather, thereafter one of our team will contact you with a collection time if required.
For urgent requests:
Dispensing patients and non-dispensing alike :-
Please also leave us a message on the above number, or on the NHS App, we have members within the team that will be manning both these requests throughout the day.
For our patients that usually use a community pharmacy that may in the interim be closed and you require meds collection within the next 72 hours.
Again please leave us a message on 01600 713353, we will be taking these messages off throughout the day and calling or texting those back with regards collections or helping to signpost as appropriate. We are in regular talks with all the community pharmacies and will be able to again update you all on how best to collect/ allocate/ signpost as the days and weeks unfold.
Please bear with us all whilst we navigate a new way of working and deal with the increase workload .
We thank you all for your kindness and understanding.
16th November 2025
The main surgery site in Monmouth will be out of action for some time. Please do not contact us for routine issues. If you have an urgent clinical need call 111 or the surgery. People who have appointments tomorrow have been contacted today. We will contact patients with appointments from Tuesday onwards from tomorrow.
We will continue to update Facebook and our website.
Thank you
15th November 2025
Surgery has sadly flooded as have many other businesses and homes in Monmouth. We are working to ensure we can provide care next week from Raglan and will identify an alternative temporary site in Monmouth. If you have routine appointments booked with us for next week these are likely to be disrupted. We will update this page as soon as we know more.
Thank you.
